Hi I'm here for discourse. It makes NO sense for Firestar to have chosen Greystripe as deputy. By code standards sure he technically trained an apprentice, but he was barely there most of the time and Brackenfur was almost completely trained by Firestar. By character standards, yes Greystripe is officially back with ThunderClan, but the moons of him actively ignoring his own clan don't magically disappear. It feels like the Erins were like "we need to show friendship never dies <3"
I’d honestly take it as Firestar playing favorites but the fact they made it so him being chosen was Whitestorm’s dying wish…bleh. Dude is flakey! He ditched his kids, prioritized his friends over bringing them with him, and neglected his apprentice! Don’t be afraid to show that he’s in the wrong for that and have it have consequences!!!
